The Materials Supervisor oversees receiving and handling of all materials as it progresses through all manufacturing processes. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ hands on experience using automated MRP/ERP systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Minimum of four years of experience directing the inventory process in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in material and planning activities utilizing an automated MRP/ERP system required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • MRP/ERP information system(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing and monitoring cycle counts.
  • Exceptional math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, supervise, and direct the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering of supplies or equipment while assisting in problem solving.
  • Ensure the timely availability and delivery of materials to appropriate workstations on the production floor.
  • Maintain time and production records accurately.
  • Maintain and monitor material flow throughout receiving, stores and shipping areas.
  • Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
  • Estimate hourly working requirements per production schedules to complete job assignments.
  • Support continuous improvement processes and updates.
