Materials Specialist - Full Time

About The Position

The Materials Specialist helps maintain optimal supply levels in clinical areas and supports patient care by managing materials and related inventory tasks. The role includes processing scans and deliveries, handling shipping and receiving issues, coordinating with departments, maintaining organized stock and expiration-date controls, and supporting safety, education, and other departmental needs. This is a full-time day position at Monadnock Community Hospital.

Requirements

Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Regular use of hands to handle objects and ability to talk or hear; frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, stooping, and bending.
Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Ability to push or pull supply carts using up to 100 pounds of force daily.
Specific vision abilities are required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficient knowledge of MMIS and independently manage related tasks.
Process daily scanning and incoming deliveries efficiently, prioritizing urgent or specialized shipments.
Work with Volunteer and Per Diem staff and promptly address shipping and receiving discrepancies.
Collaborate with departments on inventory adjustments, maintain labeled shelves, and manage expiration dates.
Conduct cycle counts, keep work areas clean, and cross-train to provide additional departmental support.
Follow safety practices, contribute to the SDS Program, and participate in ongoing education and development.
