About The Position

The Repack/Embalage is responsible for building shipping containers and repacking parts for customers within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on material handling role that requires being on your feet for the majority of the shift; while forklift operation experience is required to support daily tasks, this position is not a dedicated forklift driving role. The ideal candidate has working computer knowledge, basic math and problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic to keep pace with production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Obey the plant’s safety rules and procedures by always wearing PPE and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

  • Awareness of and follows MST’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies.   • Build wooden crates (approximately 300 per day) used to ship parts to customers.
  • Repack parts into customer-branded packaging according to specifications.
  • Inspect crates and packaging for quality and compliance with customer specifications before shipment.
  • Handle various parts and packaging materials throughout the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with other Material Handlers to build larger crates (some up to 6 feet in length) and meet daily production targets.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to move materials within the work area.
  • Use basic computer skills to print shipping and packaging labels.
  • Apply basic math and problem-solving skills to complete daily tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform any and/or all other duties as assigned.
