About The Position

The Material Replenishment Coordinator (MRC) is responsible for the flow of materials from various warehouse locations to the production line. Utilizing various programs/software (YMS3, SMART, CMMS, SKS) and tools (MRT's, Call-Buttons) to ensure a seamless material flow from warehouse storage locations (on-site and off-site) to the production line. The MRC also works directly with the ECN Coordinator (Engineering Change), MFE (MPL Manufacturing Engineer), and Production Control Coordinator (Cycle Checker Supervisor); while also serving as a back-fill to the Spec-N-Audit position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • 2 or more years of materials/Supply Chain experience
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel
  • Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
  • Ability to work additional hours, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Updating smart and sks when engineering changes are scheduled.
  • Participating in daily/weekly “manage the change” meetings to verify updates are complete.
  • Responsible for inbound tire shipments.
  • Driving resolution in misuse matrix, working closely with production control coordinator, ECN coordinator, and plant PVT (as needed).
  • Backfilling spec-n-audit position.
  • Working directly with MFE on market set-ups, packaging, workstation readiness, etc.
  • Teaching and training department on material replenishment investigations (no-stock, hot-shot resolution, miss-picks, etc).
  • Completion of 1 GB project per quarter.
  • Smart requisition approver – new users and access level changes.
  • Adding part numbers to smart (new part numbers and level changes).
  • Deleting part numbers from smart (obsolete and discontinued parts).
  • Understanding usage adjustment factor.
  • Understanding the difference between bom, fixed and solve.
  • Utilizing teledata handbook to program parts based on specific call-outs.
  • Adding part numbers to SKS.
  • Working with red viking to manage SKS.
  • Understanding SKS if red viking is not available to manage minor concerns.
  • Reprinting of pick sheets.
  • Addressing missing parts.
  • Handling pick orders.
  • Addressing functionality concerns throughout the plant with MRTS.
  • Replacing MRTS when required.
  • Working with i.t. on system updates, restaging, and PC renewal.
  • Validating systems working prior to production startups (typically following a shut-down period).
  • Initializing/programming call buttons.
  • Adding call buttons to smart.
  • Reporting daily on call button utilization by crew and zone (Chassis, Trim, Body, etc).
  • Reporting daily on MRT response time by crew and job.
  • Establishing min/max for parts on kaizen racks.
  • Working with MPL PC’s and tl’s to adjust as needed.
  • Ensuring delivery order at cap is accurate.
  • Managing pick path at CSC to increase efficiency of cap delivery.
  • Utilizing data of part usage to maintain min/max levels at cap “drop zones”.
  • Managing pick path at NorthPoint to ensure efficient offload and delivery at CAP.
  • Engaging in implementing rebalances when part moves are required.
  • Updating systems (Smart, SKS, CMMS).
  • Ensuring adherence to pick/delivery schedule for small lot and metered pick sheets.
  • Working directly with pc’s in affected areas to add/reduce/change pick and deliver schedules based on customer demand or daily production targets.
  • YMS requisition approver.
  • Responsible for implementation and updates to YMS3.
  • Responsible for material routing/replenishment from Chicago sequencing center, NorthPoint facility, and various drop lots where material is stored, using YMS3 to coordinate all moves.
