About The Position

The Materials Project Manager for Global Logistics in Atlanta, Georgia, will be responsible for maintaining and building strategic relationships with domestic 3PL providers. This role serves as the primary onsite contact, bridging the corporate office and the distribution network to align priorities. The position requires enabling smooth collaboration across multiple organizations by establishing trust to achieve the best outcomes. Traditional project management skills are essential for leading key processes and scaling operations. This position is onsite at the Atlanta 3PL facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 5 years of related experience in project management or materials.
  • Ability to build trust across departments, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain long-term relationships beyond individual projects.
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs before they are voiced.
  • Ability to go beyond coordination and become a trusted partner.
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools.
  • Project/process management analysis and documentation skills.
  • Computer literacy with enterprise planning tools.
  • Ability to implement problem-solving skills or change initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to lead project teams and implement change.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Certified Lean Specialist or Six Sigma Green Belt qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and quantify continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, eliminate waste, and create customer value.
  • Assist management in establishing projects aligned with Continuous Improvement Objectives and departmental vision.
  • Develop project tasks, establish resources, and analyze project costs.
  • Provide data analysis for projects to assist management in prioritization, focusing on financial return and customer service improvements.
  • Allocate work and manage resource pool utilization to ensure compliance with project work plans.
  • Establish methods for tracking root causes, provide corrective analysis, and develop, track, and close out action items.
  • Support Materials Management in developing a Distribution Requirements/Resource Planning strategy to satisfy inventory demands at global distribution centers by optimizing enterprise resource planning applications.
  • Conduct weekly reviews with management on continuous improvement objective/project status.
  • Maintain accurate records, including bar charts and flow charts, to track manpower, budget performance, and project status.
  • Manage vendor-accomplished projects by providing legal documentation, establishing project scope of work, and validating vendor invoices.
  • Ensure high visibility of project measurements (e.g., PDCA, Dashboard, Metrics).
  • Develop and provide metrics for inventory accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
