About The Position

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture between Worthington Enterprises and Armstrong World Industries, is a worldwide leader in the production of suspended ceiling systems, specifically metal ceiling grids. Founded in 1992, WAVE operates under a philosophy rooted in the golden rule, emphasizing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees. WAVE is currently seeking a Materials Planner to manage the flow and inventory of raw materials to support their production plan.

Requirements

College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.
Three years of experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing management or related.
Strong ownership and attention to detail, highly organized and capable of solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm in a fast-paced department.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
The ability to build relationships and the comfort to reach out to internal and external contacts to request information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, BPCS, SAP, Cognos.

Responsibilities

Manage raw material inventory, obsolescence inventory and scheduled cycle counting on a daily basis.
Communicate, identify & mitigate risks to the production plan on a daily basis.
Plan the production schedule for assigned lines through BPCS & SAP on a daily basis.
Promote company culture and commitment to safety on a daily basis.
Adjust raw material priorities to align with the weekly extended plan (4 to 6 weeks) on a weekly basis.
Manage material rejects through suppliers on a weekly basis.
Identify & mitigate production constraints (manpower, raw material flow) with leadership team on a weekly basis.
Report on key metric performance for service, costs, inventory and plant performance on a monthly basis.
Drive process improvement throughout our supply chain on a monthly basis.
Assist with project management of capital or strategic activities on a monthly basis.
