About The Position

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll own the end-to-end materials strategy, influence cross-functional decisions, and play a key role in enabling operational excellence and customer success. As Materials Manager, you’ll sit at the center of our operations—connecting planning, procurement, production, and delivery. Your leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction, inventory performance, and supplier reliability, while helping to advance our lean and continuous improvement culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in materials management, operations, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
• A track record of leading teams and driving performance improvements
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment across diverse teams
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of planners and buyers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary owner of materials management strategy for Ripley Tools
• Drive optimization across all materials functions, including: Production planning & scheduling, Procurement & supplier performance, Inventory management & control, Warehousing and material flow
• Champion and support SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes to ensure alignment across the business and seamless product delivery
• Partner across functions—Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Finance, and Operations—to support strategic business goals
• Identify gaps and implement data-driven countermeasures to improve underperforming processes and suppliers
• Lead efforts to strengthen Lean Six Sigma initiatives, reducing waste and improving efficiency throughout the operation
• Build and execute sourcing and planning strategies that simplify complexity and improve scalability
