About The Position

Responsible for managing and organizing the day-to-day Materials Management needs and operations for both the Kentfield and San Francisco facilities for Kentfield Hospital. This position will require travel to and from Kentfield to San Francisco on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will research purchasing options, monitor inventory, order supplies, receive and disburse shipments and deliveries, and will direct and recommend purchases within designated purchasing group organizations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Interpersonal skills, and negotiating skills, ability to communicate.
  • Ability to supervise inventory control systems and oversee distribution planning.
  • Ability to be liaison with senior management to identify gaps/needs in supply and find a strategic solution to bridge gaps.
  • Excellent negotiations and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating and choosing suppliers offering best combination of services, delivery, quality and price.
  • Decision-making skills for making timely and informed decisions on selecting products.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Minimum three (3) years of previous hospital materials management experience required, with increasing managerial level responsibility in materials or related field.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • English is the primary language of the facility.
  • Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field/ degree preferred.
