About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our Fulfillment team in Everett, WA. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 1:30 pm to 10 pm. The successful candidate is a self-motivated individual capable of managing and integrating employees' activities across multiple areas within materials management and transportation, specifically in a customer service delivery role. This role involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The manager will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of team members, and lead process improvements. They will also develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Responsibilities for the 2nd shift position include operations factory support, shipping/receiving, material handling, expediting, warehousing, and serving as the Supply Chain contact for off-shift customer support. This role principally leads a team of hourly, represented team members in the Supply Chain function. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager for 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply chain and/or Materials Management
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5 + years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and translate into strategy Implementation
  • Demonstrated capacity to proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
  • Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand
