About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our 737 Fulfillment team in Renton, Washington. This role involves leading a dynamic workforce and making key decisions to improve 737 operations. The position is crucial for enhancing fulfillment operations, improving compliance, and driving stock availability of key commodities, Hazmat, Consumables, and Standards. The manager will lead employees, ensuring the highest standards of Customer Service, Efficiency, and Compliance. The role encompasses leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory control, procurement coordination, warehouse optimization, and freight management, to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. It also involves applying data-driven forecasting and process improvement methodologies to reduce stockouts and excess inventory, while collaborating cross-functionally with production, procurement, and logistics partners to support business objectives and continuous improvement. This position is for a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager for 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain and inventory management
  • 5+ years of experience working in Operations and/or manufacturing processes
  • 3+ years of experience in Production Control/Materials Management
  • 3+ years of experience Supply Chain and/or Materials Management
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
