This role involves continuous sitting while driving and operating a forklift, including emptying trash dumpsters. The position requires working both inside and outside in various weather conditions, moving product. Occasional climbing in and out of the forklift is necessary, with specific step heights noted. Safe operation of the forklift requires the use of both hands and constant pedaling with the right foot. Full range of motion of the neck and spine is essential for visibility while driving and handling product. A key responsibility includes changing a 45-pound propane cylinder on the forklift up to 50 inches high, once per shift. Operators work all shifts, including nights, and must have good vision (20/40 with correction) for low-light conditions. The operator must be certified in forklift and crane operation. The standard shift is 8 hours, with potential overtime up to 10-12 hours. Employees receive two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute meal break per shift.
