About The Position

SPX Cooling Technologies is seeking a Materials Lead to develop and execute material plans that support production schedules, maintain inventory, and keep production schedules aligned with current customer demand. The role leads material handlers and fills in for the Material Supervisor as needed. It is based onsite in a manufacturing plant environment and offers competitive hourly pay plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus, subject to terms and conditions.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant work experience, or a college degree in a related field.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to direct hourly employees in daily activities and establish priorities.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment, with potential exposure to excessive heat, cold, and noise.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, grasp, push, pull, crawl, climb, twist, reach, work at heights, and use a ladder as required.
• Ability to use both hands overhead and perform repetitive motions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with inventory management practices and procedures.
• Previous experience with SAP or other MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders in the Demand Planning System (SAP) and coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
• Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and monitor material flow through production.
• Direct Material Handler activities as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain the production schedule to ensure timely workflow.
• Fill in for the Material Supervisor as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and logistics efficiency.
