Twining Consulting, an innovative laboratory specializing in analysis of construction materials such as concrete and aggregate for more than 20 years, is seeking a skilled, reliable Materials Laboratory Technician to join our growing company in Boulder, Colorado. Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Possession of basic workshop and maintenance skills.
Ease, familiarity, and safe operation of power tools and saws.
Strong detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent organization skills.
Basic computer skills involving word processing, spread sheets and basic photographic editing.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Positive attitude and work ethic.
Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.

Responsibilities

Photographing of concrete and rock samples.
Preparation of concrete and rock samples for petrographic examination.
Performance of chemical analysis of concrete samples.
Storing, organizing and disposal of samples.
Ability to learn to use and properly operate equipment such as cameras, lapidary grinding and polishing tools, saws, and thin section equipment.
Understanding of the importance of workshop and laboratory safety protocols and the implementation of such protocols.
Maintenance of clean workspaces and clean equipment.
