About The Position
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for a Construction Materials and Geotechnical Testing Laboratory Technician to join their Irving (DFW) TX office. This role involves performing routine to complex testing for construction materials and geotechnical testing in the laboratory to verify conformance to standards and specifications. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Ability to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check following an offer.
Nice To Haves
- 0-3 years of construction materials laboratory testing experience
- ACI Concrete Compression Strength Technician - Level 1 certification
- NICET - Level I (Soils and/or Construction Materials Testing) certification
Responsibilities
- Performing concrete cylinder compression testing
- Following proper procedures and standards
- Performing daily routine testing of construction materials and geotechnical samples
- Performing accurate computations
- Maintaining cordial relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.
- Preparing daily reports and data sheets
- Performing various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor
