About The Position

The Material Handler stages the necessary materials at line side needed to produce approximately 4 hours of finished goods. The Material Handler must also identify part shortages in advance, understand and use the Kanban system and communicate and understand the materials replenishment systems. Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable of the inventory levels.
  • Must be able to evaluate color.
  • Must be willing to abide by the company hand book in regards to following safety rules and job rotations.
  • Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergo committees, participating in safety Kazan events, participating in blue sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback events.
  • Assist the plant in achieving safety goals.
  • Participate in communications events such as plant wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Stages the necessary materials at line side needed to produce approximately 4 hours of finished goods.
  • Identifies part shortages in advance.
  • Understands and uses the Kanban system.
  • Communicates and understands the materials replenishment systems.
  • Controls inventory in Manufacturing.
  • Prevents shortages in manufacturing due to lack of parts.
  • Prevents any damages to tow motors or any accidents relating to the tow motors.
  • Evaluates color.
  • Abides by the company handbook in regards to following safety rules and job rotations.
  • Reports unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
  • Participates in safety/ergo committees.
  • Participates in safety Kazan events.
  • Participates in blue sky initiatives.
  • Participates in safety audits.
  • Participates in safety observation feedback events.
  • Assists the plant in achieving safety goals.
  • Participates in communications events such as plant wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises.
