About The Position

The Materials Handler is responsible for moving incoming and outgoing products to and from the distribution center and supplying assemblers with the materials they need at their workbenches. The role also includes counting and processing materials, creating product labels, organizing and documenting incoming work in process, and maintaining department cleanliness and integrity. The position follows a split shift from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the position.
• Ability to interact, communicate, and follow instructions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals or demands.
• Accuracy with general math skills.
• Detailed- and results-oriented.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out simple oral or written instructions.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently count and process incoming and outgoing materials.
• Gather and confirm materials required for assemblers to build orders at their benches.
• Move incoming and outgoing products to and from the distribution center.
• Supply materials to and from assemblers’ workbenches.
• Create labels for products.
• Organize and document incoming work in process.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the department.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
