About The Position

As a Material Handler, you’ll be part of our team located in Holliston, MA. You’ll get to perform basic assembly using pneumatic screw guns, gather screws and other parts, place housing on a hoist and assemble. You will place, lift, or hoist different sized material onto the hooks on the conveyor line always keeping safety in mind. You will determine when a color change is necessary and hang tags to indicate this to the painter. You will inspect material for defects, use a spray paint can to touch up minor defects, and reject major defects. You must be careful not to damage the painted material. You will perform basic assembly (bearings, clips, etc.), install casters, and prepare wood pallets (with nail gun) to be used to place the material (housings) on. You will place the housings on the pallets and send semi-finished products (material) to the assembly department (heavy parts or light parts areas). When problems arise, you will notify the group leader. You will change hooks on the conveyor line to prepare for different material.

Requirements

• Ability to read schedule (in English)
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, anything over 35 pounds with apparatus assistance.
• Always twisting, turning, bending, lifting, walking and standing.
• Ability to use hand, air, and electric powered tools and drive material moving equipment
