About The Position

This role is responsible for moving product to, from, and within the department, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately in Oracle. The Materials Handler III will stage, remove, organize, and store parts and materials, and prepare them for production runs. They will collaborate with supervisors and leads to ensure timely job setup and prevent downtime. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in reporting shortages/overages, supply needs, and equipment issues, as well as accurate data entry into the Oracle system. The role also involves managing finished painted parts, assisting with paint truck operations, and maintaining the organization of pallets, bins, and racks. Operation of forklifts, hoists, and pallet jacks is a key function of this role.

Requirements

  • Good organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Experience operating a forklift and current forklift license
  • Computer skills including ability to learn and use Oracle Manufacturing System
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, speak and understand)

Responsibilities

  • Stage, remove, organize and store parts and materials
  • Stage materials and parts for duration of run
  • Work with supervisor and or lead to ensure timely set up of jobs to avoid down time
  • Report shortages/overages of parts, supply needs, equipment breakdowns, accidents/injuries to supervisor
  • Enter all transactions into Oracle
  • Complete Kanban cards
  • Bring finished painted parts to correct department
  • Assist with strip paint truck (load and unload)
  • Remove and distribute empty pallets, bins (including Kanban), racks and baskets to and from department as needed
  • Dispose of paint in dumpster
  • Operate forklift, hoist and pallet jack
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist on paint line in various roles as needed
