About The Position

Materials Handlers provide general labor support to production and pack-on-demand lines or other areas. Work includes assembling trays, lids, and feed tapers; palletizing; and configuring gift orders for expedited customer-order processing. The role supports shipping operations and follows quality, vendor-compliance, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) guidelines.

Requirements

• Some high school education.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, including peers, leadership, and other employees.
• Basic reading skills in English.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving walking, bending, twisting, and use of the hands, wrists, and arms.
• Limited lifting.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications and ensure pallet patterns meet all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor-compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removing product.
• Read SKU numbers and sort products by box size and SKU to prepare them for loading.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
• Perform general housekeeping, including breaking down boxes, removing trash, and sweeping.
• Perform light assembly.
