About the Role The Deliver Driver will be responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and materials amongst our facilities in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials, as well as providing support to the materials handling teams (Receiving, Shipping, etc).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1year relevant experience
  • Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, priorities, and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Frequently required to stand
  • Occasionally required to walk

  • Occasionally required to life/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Continual exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Frequently exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)

Responsibilities

  • Loads vehicle for delivery
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits
  • Delivers goods to clients
  • Interacts with the customer/suppliers in a professional manner
  • Collects required signature for payment, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer/supplier/facility
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official
  • Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle
  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Other duties as assigned.
