The Materials Coordinator (MC) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of pacing items requiring parts and tooling. This position acts as a liaison between North State and the Customer, managing the processing and approval of parts, including those requiring expedited fees like AOG or Priority. The MC is responsible for communicating any materials-related concerns that may impact aircraft delivery to supervisors and project managers. They will interface with Customer Representatives to maintain a continuous flow of information on aircraft parts status, update the ERP system with alternate part numbers and tracking information, and coordinate timely off-unit dispositions for repair. The MC will also monitor the arrival status of ordered parts multiple times daily, coordinating with purchasers and receiving personnel to expedite procurement issues. Additionally, they will process part and tool requests for production using the North State ERP System, act as a runner for HOT parts, and notify relevant departments of required dates for parts sent out for overhaul or repair. The role involves coordinating the immediate return of off-units removed during maintenance and ensuring all outside services performed on the aircraft are completed and received in the computer system for proper billing. The MC will work closely with the Project Manager, Stores, and Purchasing to disposition RTS Parts daily and will be responsible for briefing NSA Parts daily at customer production meetings. The position also includes performing other assigned duties and ensuring a safe working environment.
