Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for ordering of materials and spare parts including system transactions, purchase orders, invoicing, stocking, cataloging and organizing spare parts bins in the Maintenance Stock Room – to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency of Hannon Corrugated Operations.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in a related to Materials Management or equivalent work experience
  • Maintenance operations, administration and planning experience is required, including strong knowledge of materials management, mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and components
  • Knowledgeable in spare parts inventory, purchasing and supplier / vendor management
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) systems preferably Manager Plus, is a prerequisite, including proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are essential

Responsibilities

  • Understands and follows Company, Health & Safety Policies/Procedures
  • Responsible for materials and inventory management for the maintenance department including ordering and receiving spare parts, components and materials using Manager Plus - computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Receiving and sorting incoming spare parts, components and supplies in the appropriate bin locations. Ensures parts information is cataloged in the system and bins are properly labelled
  • Issue and distribute parts to maintenance personnel for internal usage
  • Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts as required
  • Identify initiatives to improve information system reliability and efficiency
  • Enhance department performance, productivity and cost control
  • Enter receipt of the items into the internal purchase order system
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards and good housekeeping protocols within the maintenance shop and spare parts stock room
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OHS standards; so that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled; and workers use the prescribed safety equipment
  • Create PO’s in the internal purchase order system
  • Use Forklift, pump trucks to keep warehouse organised.
  • Other duties as assigned
