Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.
  • Valid state motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Maintenance processes
  • Stable progressive work history
  • Ability to easily identify mechanical and electrical parts in staging process
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.

Nice To Haves

  • Greater than 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.
  • Greater than 2 years Maintenance Mechanic or Electrician experience
  • Experience using SAP for materials management, or work execution processes
  • Experience working with vendors to source parts, obtain quotes, and manage delivery timelines (ETA)
  • Experience kitting and staging materials to support maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Utilize engineering records, maintenance planning, and engineering deliverables to order parts and/or materials required to execute maintenance work
  • Create purchase requisitions as needed to order parts and/or materials
  • Provide timely updates to maintenance planners and schedulers on the status of ordered parts and/or materials
  • Work with Procurement to expedite parts and/or materials as needed
  • Pick-up and deliver items inside the facility and/or off-site facilities
  • Participate in maintenance planning and scheduling meetings to understand current work priority
  • Kit and stage parts and/or materials; ensure staging areas are clean, organized, and only contain items related to scheduled work
  • Monitor inventory of vendor stocked parts and/or materials in assigned areas and coordinate replenishment to maintain minimum stocking levels
  • Recommend changes to stocking levels for vendor stocked parts and/or materials based on usage trends and forecasted heavy use periods
  • Inspect received parts and/or materials to ensure they meet specifications
  • Coordinate the repairable spares process for assigned areas
  • Participate in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Professionally provide written and verbal communication to all team members
  • Provide courteous customer service for both internal and external customers
  • Performs other related duties as designated by supervision
