About The Position

Primoris Distribution Services (PDS), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is seeking a Materials Controller in Jasper, GA. This role is responsible for managing inventory and reporting material usage for current MSA projects and other miscellaneous projects. The company is in the process of procuring inventory software to enhance user-friendliness, currently utilizing an Excel-based tracking sheet. The Materials Controller will also communicate with suppliers regarding order status and procure materials not stocked by customer-chosen vendors.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Inventory/Materials management in an industrial environment or Utility/Construction Environment
• High school/GED
• MS Office proficiency
• Very good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
• Great organizational skills
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Physically capable of walking on uneven terrain

Nice To Haves

• Any further education a plus
• Previous Gas industry or utility industry experience a plus (familiar with material types)
• Mechanized Loading Equipment/Forklift experience a plus but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and report material inventory usage by job/crew
• Maintain sufficient inventory levels for current MSA project
• Use of mechanized equipment to load/off load vehicles and organize yard and warehouse
• Places material inventory orders
• Receives material orders from project managers/general foreman for other miscellaneous projects and enters those with vendors for site deliveries
• Communicates with suppliers concerning order status
• Adds new materials into inventory system
• Procures materials not stocked by our customer chosen material vendors
