About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Materials Control Worker to support warehouse inventory and supply operations in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role involves ordering and receiving supplies, managing stock in the inventory system, fulfilling and shipping orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, responding to customer concerns, and delivering supplies to local branches, clients, and patient service centers when needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Requirements

No minimum education or experience is required.
Basic knowledge of inventory control and cycle counts.
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in a warehouse or picking and packing orders.
At least one year of experience using warehouse equipment such as a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

Place supply orders with vendors by computer and telephone.
Load and unload supplies from trucks and verify packing slips.
Receive stock and process it in the inventory management system.
Process orders from client offices and patient service centers by phone, fax, and email.
Print requisition forms and barcode labels for internal and external clients.
Pack orders for shipment using shipping services such as FedEx and UPS.
Resolve customer concerns efficiently and promptly.
Maintain inventory control according to company standards.
Participate in scheduled cycle counts and full physical inventories.
Deliver supplies to local branches, clients, and patient service centers when needed.
