About The Position

The Materials Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and distributing aircraft parts and materials in support of production and maintenance operations. This role ensures accuracy of inventory transactions, proper handling of materials, and timely fulfillment of internal and external orders while maintaining compliance with company procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in materials, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Ability to work within an automated inventory management system (ERP/MRP experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling parts and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of standard software applications.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records, ensuring accuracy in quantity, part numbers, serial numbers, and condition.
  • Perform visual inspections of materials for damage, discrepancies, or non-conformance, and report issues as required.
  • Accurately process receipts and inventory transactions within the company’s inventory management system.
  • Pick, stage, and fulfill parts orders for production and internal customers, ensuring correct quantities and part identification.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including inspection, proper packaging, documentation, labeling, and coordination of shipping logistics.
  • Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment, including forklifts, while adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of materials in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or delays to supervisors and internal stakeholders to support production continuity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
