About The Position

Performs engineering work related to investigating and solving technical problems associated with the research, design, development, service, and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft. The role addresses technical problems of moderate scope and complexity using judgment alongside defined practices and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision for routine tasks of minor complexity, with supervision or mentorship when coordinating lower-level engineering staff. Errors or failure to achieve results may delay program schedules or require additional resources.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
At least 18 months of related engineering experience. Related advanced degrees may count toward experience, limited to 2 years for a relevant master’s degree and 4 years for a relevant Ph.D.
Technical skills and abilities appropriate to the position’s grade, as established by the discipline.
Ability to apply knowledge and judgment to solve a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity using defined practices and procedures.
Ability to convey technical concepts in written and verbal formats.

Responsibilities

Solve typical engineering problems within the assigned discipline.
Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute to project milestones.
Take responsibility for a complex engineering assignment or a full project of lesser complexity.
Follow established schedules while developing plans for engineering assignments.
Obtain the appropriate level of supervisor approval for work accuracy and adequacy.
Apply company and organization policies and procedures proficiently.
Work to improve daily processes and ensure work meets customer requirements.
Maintain current knowledge of developments and applications of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the assigned field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
With supervision or mentorship, coordinate the activities of lower-level engineering staff.
