About The Position

The Material Technician verifies and organizes the distribution of incoming and outgoing products, prepares related documents, and maintains the shipping and receiving area. The role maintains records of shipments to and from the warehouse, prepares shipping documents and mailing labels, and ensures orders are correctly fulfilled. It also reconciles waybills and bills of lading with bills of materials and actual shipment arrivals, and verifies that delivered goods match approved orders and their associated documentation. The position is based in Columbus, Mississippi. The posting lists a Monday-to-Friday schedule of 3:00 AM–11:30 PM and states that overtime is occasional. Travel is not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or related experience.
Inventory experience and ability to apply the Min/Max method.
Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.
Data entry experience; proficiency in SAP and ability to work in other WMS or similar systems.
Attention to detail.
Solid communication skills and prior client-facing customer service experience.
Ability to walk on concrete plant floors for prolonged periods while performing job duties.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience preferred.
Automotive experience is a plus.
