About The Position

This role is responsible for loading and unloading ovens, ensuring correct oven cure profiles are selected and verified, and maintaining accurate production records. The Material Tech will also move completed parts, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the work area is clean and organized according to 5S standards. Collaboration with other departments for oven scheduling and safe operation of equipment like overhead cranes are key aspects of this position. Adherence to all company policies, safety rules, and work instructions is mandatory.

Must be able to wear all required PPE.
Must be able to stand for 10-12 hrs. per shift.
Must be able to work in both hot and cold conditions.
Must be able to work around different types of resins and composite materials.
Must be able to work around chemicals and solvents such as acetone, releasing agents and various cleaning supplies.

Previous manufacturing or production environment experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Load and unload ovens in a safe and efficient manner.
Select and verify correct oven cure profiles prior to operation.
Complete all required production and operational paperwork accurately and timely.
Record labor in and out using the data collection system.
Move completed parts to the designated staging area.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
Maintain 5S standards to support workplace organization and efficiency.
Work closely with other departments to coordinate and determine oven schedules.
Safely operate and/or assist in the use of an overhead crane, as applicable.
Follow all established work procedures and standard operating practices for the area.
Comply with all company policies, safety rules, and work instructions at all times.
