About The Position

Sensient is experiencing rapid growth due to the Global Natural Color expansion and is adding an additional Material Supply Chain Coordinator to their team. This role is responsible for securing raw materials, equipment, supplies, and services to maintain the operations of the St. Louis manufacturing facility, supporting the service expectations of all business units. The position requires execution of both tactical and strategic elements of planning and purchasing to maximize customer service levels at minimum cost, while maintaining the high quality associated with Sensient’s brand. Please note that due to our inability to offer visa sponsorship, we can only consider candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Three (3) years minimum experience in Procurement in order to acquire knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of a profession, along with supplemental training.
  • Acquired knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of purchasing, traffic, and inventory control profession.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • JD Edwards (JDE) experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Secure and plan the necessary raw material, equipment, supplies and services in an effort to meet/exceed service level objectives for both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including demand, production planning, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment of material planning activities with overall business objectives.
  • Work cooperatively with internal Quality Control and regulatory groups to achieve/maintain approval supplier status for both suppliers and individual materials and also provide information to support requests from these groups.
  • Maintain department records and validate pricing of invoices; partner with Sensient AP group to resolve issues with vendor invoices.
  • Coordinate with planning inventory targets for all raw materials; meet Cash Conversion Cycle objectives associated with raw materials inventory levels.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to achieve departmental goals.
  • Analyze, maintain, generate, and support KPI expectations.
  • Coordinate with the planning coordinator for return of obsolete and surplus materials, return of rejected materials, and contact vendors concerning billing errors.
