Material & Supply Chain Manager
About The Position
Our team in Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Material and Supply Chain Manager - Avionics to join them. You will report to the Operations Director and have an onsite, first shift work schedule in East Aurora, NY. Moog Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for the following markets: satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, sensor integration, and propulsion test facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Familiarity with ERP / MRP based material control systems.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the overall management of the materials and supply chain within the Avionics team.
- Oversee, supervise and manage the Avionics supply chain team which will include staff development and succession planning.
- Establish, and enhance, standard work associated with processes, policies and efforts to continually improve performance.
- Be a visionary for how materials and supply chain functions (production planning, logistics and supply chain) align with the overall strategy for the Actuation & Avionics WNY Site Operations within Space and Defense Group.
- Be responsible for the collaboration of the Avionics group in SDG to Moog cross-campus supply chain organizations.
- Embrace new technologies/concepts and apply those through imaginative approaches
- Lead cross-functional teams for process improvements of the supply chain both within Moog and suppliers.
- Be responsible for the oversight of key metrics which will have an operational and financial impact on the business unit.
- Be responsible for monthly reporting as applicable (SIOP).
- Be responsible for oversight of ERP/MRP based control systems.
- Strategically consider constraints in capacity, materials, facilities, and others when establishing program and product line supply chain direction.
- Balance the objectives of minimal inventory investment and optimal production flow.
