About The Position
Höganäs in North America is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to work at our Johnstown, PA plant. This position is responsible to receive shipments into the plant and support the company’s supply chain with a focus on logistical and warehouse functions.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- At least one year experience in inventory management or receiving in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail
- Good verbal, written and organizational skills are critical.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer are required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and receives inbound purchased materials, records into inventory software, and maintains related records.
- Prepares reports and coordinates receiving activities with Accounts Payable.
- Leads unloading of raw materials via rail system and truck shipments.
- Labels incoming materials for inventory system.
- Performs cycle counts on material stored in warehouse.
- Opens and examines inbound containers and conducts pre-loading inspections of outbound containers.
- Supports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping activities and assumes responsibilities in their absence.
- Coordinates sampling of raw material for Quality testing.
- Tags, rejects, and contacts Purchasing to return defective material.
- Informs Accounting of raw materials and finished goods inventories for accuracy.
- Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.
