About The Position

The Material Specialist enters information into a computer to generate finished-good labels for shipments and processes finished-goods inventory, including overflow and work-in-process partial finished goods. The role supports shipping and operators, prepares departmental reports, and ensures packaging and sampling requirements are met. Work must follow documented procedures and strict health, safety, environmental, quality, and productivity requirements. The specialist also maintains a clean, orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Strong mathematics skills.
Strong typing and PC skills, including data entry, word processing, and Excel spreadsheets.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of process-related standards.
Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members.

Responsibilities

Enter data into a computer to generate finished-good labels in preparation for shipments.
Complete required quality inspections for finished-good packaging.
Calculate dimensions and weights as required.
Verify and process documented packing instructions.
Respond to inquiries and provide directions and other information to operators.
Prepare special or periodic reports relating to departmental activity.
Process finished-goods inventory.
Manage overflow and out-process work-in-process partial finished goods.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards.
Perform duties within standard methods and procedures while adhering to HSE, quality, and productivity requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Support the shipping department as required.
Ensure quality sampling requirements are met in accordance with documented requirements.
