About The Position

The Materials Specialist I is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring timely and accurate material planning, receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment. This role also involves operating material handling equipment and assisting with inventory control, data accuracy, and process improvements to support material flow throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Computer literate with Microsoft office especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

  • 6 months to 2 years general office practices.
  • Ability to pass internal Powered Industrial Equipment license test and ability to operate various pieces of equipment in assigned Operations Facility (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory through timely and precise data entry.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues.
  • Identify and correct receiving problems.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels.
  • Support engineering changes through allocation and inventory adjustments (CN maintenance).
  • Collaborate daily with internal and external customers to deliver exceptional service.
  • Assist with corporate material initiatives such as cycle counts, ISL (Inventory Stock Location) management, bin consumption tracking, and more.
