About The Position

The Materials Specialist will be responsible for inventory management, including receiving of incoming shipments, stocking, and communicating material availability to internal customers. Hours are M-F, 9:00am-6:00pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including tone of voice.
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Secondary language preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments utilizing warehouse management system and verify item(s), quantity, and physical condition of order.
  • Unload, check, store, and distribute incoming merchandise.
  • Inspect shipments for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to ensure that they meet company standards for quality and quantity.
  • Review reports on inventory levels to ensure stock to meet customer demand.
  • File, distribute and maintain MSDS/SDS manual and electronic library.
  • Clean, maintain, store, and preserve materials.
  • Distribute materials and supplies from Materials & Tools Room and maintain chemicals in chemical cabinet.
  • Resolve discrepancies with Materials Supervisor / Procurement Manager.
  • Stock materials received and maintain stock areas to protect inventory from damage.
  • Check supply stock, rotate, and replenish inventory to bins and shelves. Use warehouse management system to move and maintain stock respectively.
  • Keep receiving area neat and organized.
  • Participate in physical counts to reconcile inventories and spot check for accuracy.
  • Verify and reconcile routine inventory record discrepancies.
  • Promote and adhere to the United Radio Core Values
  • Comply with United Radio's policies and procedures, and quality systems.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
