About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Material Specialist with Stockroom experience to join the dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. This position performs manual and clerical work to receive, store, record, distribute, issue, inventory, identify, sort, count, kit assemble, package, ship, order and requisition material, supplies, parts assemblies, equipment and tools. The role requires maintaining adequate stock on hand as needs and requirements determine, using and operating records systems and equipment, and ordering tools, parts, prints, specifications and material to support shop operations. The Material Specialist will expedite the supply of needed items by liaison, coordination and follow up with others, and prepare and maintain regular and requested reports, charts, graphs and status of work operations information. This role also involves recognizing, identifying and reporting critical supply problems and taking or recommending corrective action. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An active U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory, stock or supply chain.
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active U.S. Secret clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials per government regulations.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
