Position Summary The Material Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for working in conjunction with Production Planning to pick material and organize project related jobs to ensure a consistent and accurate flow of materials to the production area. This role will also monitor the progress of production work orders for these projects ensuring job transactions are executed in a timely manner. The role will also notify management of any outstanding shortages to complete suffix tasks. When current on project tasks they will work with the material supervisor to either cycle count inventory or pick orders for regular production. Finally, this role will ensure material transactions on jobs throughout the warehouse are current and correct.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to focus in a busy and distracting environment.
Knowledge of Production and inventory control (P&IC) techniques.
Understanding of manufacturing processes
Should have a basic understanding of MRP principles.
Requires high energy, good attitude, resourcefulness, and a strong sense of urgency.
Proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate multiple systems and software applications efficiently.
Ability to understand the assembly, use and application of air and gas compressors and generators.
Ability to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to track details, deadlines, and competing responsibilities.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.
May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.

Background in a production management or supply-chain discipline.

Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Production Supervisor and Production Planning to complete and monitor progress on all projects, parts orders, work orders, and purchase orders related to builds specified by MS.
Ensure all project carts are organized and up to date both physically and in CSI.
Reporting any shortages and acting on resolving any shortages on the assigned projects, tasks, and jobs
Utilize CSI to review all jobs, tasks, and suffixes to ensure parts are properly issued, jobs are correctly assigned and closed, and any issues are made known to both the Production Supervisor and Master Scheduler.
Attend weekly production/project review meetings, as required.
Monitor material pick lists and material shortage lists.
Ensure expediting efforts are prioritized according to delivery dates and available material.
Maintain weekly progress updates on parts orders, work orders and purchase orders as required.
Review open jobs though out the warehouse to ensure jobs, suffixes, tasks align with where the job is located.
Learn, Oversee, and control the Dedicated Warehouses (SPA =S01 and SM01 and Ben =B01, including additional if created.
General housekeeping of the Job Cart area including trash and empty carton management, label management and any other requirement to preserve order and integrity of the area.
All Other Duties as Assigned
Working with the Warehouse Lead to execute pick activity as prescribed by the production or transfer schedule
Learn and use scanning technology to pick orders assigned: Identifying parts by correct part number and location
Removing any parts required by the pick instruction, by correct lot number, if required
Ensuring remaining items are clearly marked, returned, and located in the correct location
Issue parts as required per document specifications
Notifying Warehouse Lead immediately if any discrepancy is identified
Maintain picking cart and environment in a safe and orderly manner
Prepare any documentation required to pick/put away items
Suggest consolidation or improvement of inventory as noticed through work activity
Ensure effective communication within department.
Restock any unused parts and correctly transact return in company system
Complete daily assigned cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Participate in cross-training programs in other areas as needed
Assist Inventory Coordinator with stock transfers, discrepancies, cycle counting, as needed.
Correct and update documentation and any or all work instructions as applicable.
Perform functions on CSI relating to inventory issues, and/or closing out jobs.
Coordinate training of new employees to follow all processes, standards, and work instructions.
Provide updates and implement improvement ideas regarding 5S, and efficiency opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
