About The Position

Raytheon is looking for a Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Advanced Technologies (AT) Airborne Spectrum Dominance (ASD) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) team supporting a portfolio of fast-paced development programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In this highly visible role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and program teams. This position requires the ability to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment where successful material strategy execution is a key contributor to overall program success. This position is an onsite working location role with some schedule flexibility.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with Control Account Management (CAM) and/or Earned Value (EV) processes
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Procurement processes
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills and experience leading and/or participating in cross functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel, including Pivot Tables) and SAP PRISM
  • Experience with U.S. government Prime Contract Requirements and Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals
  • Experience with Rapid Development Tool (RDT), Kinaxis, or related systems
  • Experience supporting complex product development, Transition To Production (TTP) efforts and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Execute against established Material Program Strategy (MPS) or Material Program Plan (MPP) and create or contribute to new MPS or MPP, as required
  • Work as a Control Account Manager (CAM) supporting Quantifiable Backup Data (QBD) and/or PRISM Earned Value (EV) tasks including, but not limited to: Latest Revised Estimate (LRE), Estimate At Complete (EAC), Variance (VAR) analysis, Baseline Change Requests (BCRs), and Risk & Opportunity (R&O) management
  • Drive alignment between Engineering drawing release plans and Purchase Order (PO) placement plans and develop and implement effective supplier management and schedule risk mitigation strategies tailored to unique program needs and technical maturity
  • Proactively monitor and maintain critical Supplier Health metrics while coordinating changes to designs, build schedules, quality requirements, procurement documentation and Purchase Requisitions/Orders (PRs/POs) with Suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Program Operations Management, Quality and Mission Assurance, and Production Control teams
  • Execute capacity and alternate sourcing decisions supporting portfolio level Independent Research & Development (IRAD), Contract Research & Development (CRAD), Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD), Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP), and/or Transition To Production (TTP) activities
  • Lead Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) and obtain and understand supplier responses
  • Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs), Proprietary Information Agreements (PIAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Material Contract Briefs (MCBs), Flowdown Document Attachments (FDAs) and Purchase Order (PO) Modified Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)
  • Manage multiple suppliers simultaneously across different material commodities to ensure Material Sales Forecasts and MRP Health in program build schedules and On Time Delivery (OTD) to customers
  • Execute within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and lead recurring virtual, and in person, supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance and maintain discrete actions via Rolling Action Item Logs (RAILs)
  • Provide timely communication for status of program level priorities and escalate critical issues to Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) leads within the portfolio
  • Ability to travel: 5-15%
