Material Program Manager
About The Position
Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to work within the Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions Sub-Business Unit in the Raytheon Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit. In this role, you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams and manage materials provided by suppliers on the Pods Product Supply Chain Team. The MPM is responsible for executing the strategies and objectives of the product line to meet cost, quality, and scheduled targets for the program and business unit, ensuring that products are delivered on time to the end customer. Our supplier network spans small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors that manufacture high-level assemblies, a range of commodities, and materials varying in complexity. In this position, you will collaborate and communicate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various departments within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other support functions to ensure rapidly shifting production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities are successfully executed.
Requirements
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Supply Chain experience.
- Experience in ERP systems.
- Experience in Program & Cross‑Functional Coordination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Supply Chain.
- Financial acumen and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
- Experience managing suppliers or projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order.
- Placement/management by working closely with Production Control, Purchasing, and Finance.
- Assist and drive successful completion of material deliveries with potentially aggressive schedules.
- Support resolution of technical or delivery concerns.
- Build effective working relationships across supply chain, engineering, and program management teams.
- Prepare routine documentation, status updates, and summary reports for program leadership.
- Support CAM(s) in managing material budgets and EACs for the program(s)
- Support Risk, Opportunity, and Performance Management.
- Support identification of supply gaps and help develop recommended approaches to close those gaps.
- Contribute risk and opportunity planning efforts to help meet program objectives.
- Support the flow‑down of Supplier Management Best Practices, including basic risk mitigation and subcontract management expectations.
