About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to work within the Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions Sub-Business Unit in the Raytheon Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit. In this role, you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams and manage materials provided by suppliers on the Pods Product Supply Chain Team. The MPM is responsible for executing the strategies and objectives of the product line to meet cost, quality, and scheduled targets for the program and business unit, ensuring that products are delivered on time to the end customer. Our supplier network spans small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors that manufacture high-level assemblies, a range of commodities, and materials varying in complexity. In this position, you will collaborate and communicate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various departments within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other support functions to ensure rapidly shifting production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities are successfully executed.

Requirements

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and/or support of CAM actions.
Financial acumen and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
Experience with supply chain, operations, and/or procurement processes.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

Experience in supply chain and aerospace or defense industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel including Pivot Tables).
Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Overall supply chain ownership of the relationship with select Raytheon sub-tier suppliers in conjunction with the acquisition professional.
Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet program needs with Engineering, Program Operations, Production Control, and Scheduling.
Serve as a liaison between suppliers, internal supply chain, engineering, and program management to ensure supplier health and resolve technical or delivery concerns.
Influence and build strong partnerships across multiple functions supporting the programs.
Prepare documentation and present updates to senior leadership.
Supplier & Material Strategy Development and Management.
Develop and implement material strategies that support multi‑year production plans in collaboration with PMO, CGO, and program supply chain teams.
Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to monitor performance and drive improvement.
Travel to key suppliers to support program activities such as (but not limited to): Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Technical Interchange meetings (TIM), Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), etc.
Identify supply gaps and define/implement strategies to close them.
Develop and execute risk and opportunity plans that support program objectives.
Flow down Supplier Management Best Practices, including risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
Track supplier delivery forecasts and related sales for reporting to OSC and program leadership.
