About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a special program within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. This role will require the individual work onsite in Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ location. The MPM is accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office. This is an elevated MPM role which requires practical experience in navigating the execution of processes, projects, and tactics, understanding the impact of the work as it relates to AOP and other stake holder areas within the organization. The successful candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development and negotiating experience and have project management responsibilities including, but not limited to risk and opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the experience to work in cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the fields of supply chain and or related field.
  • Experience working with subcontracts at the proposal phase and prime negotiation experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Materials Program Manager.

  • Experience supporting developmental engineering programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • May be tasked to act as the Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Identify and secure Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan and manage the Supply Chain content of the proposal pipeline.
  • Review and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.
  • Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply chain cycle to meet development requirements.
  • Support and engage with various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas.
  • Lead projects to enhance Supply Chain performance, continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Assess and mitigate risk associated with Supplier agreements (delivery, quality, incentives, etc.).
  • Negotiate complex agreements and manage throughout contract lifecycle.
  • Set objectives and guide others on the execution and approach to achieve developmental results.
  • Explain policies, practices, and procedures and may influence others.
  • Manage and evaluate difficult scenarios that involve consideration of many variables.
  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
