About The Position

The Material Planner supports the materials team by coordinating materials and production schedules for projects. The role monitors schedule changes and material delivery dates, plans production capacity, and works with production, procurement, receiving, inventory management, sales, and operations to keep production on schedule and maintain optimal supply levels. The position works between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; schedules may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime may be required. Travel is 5–10%.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
0–2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, material management, inventory control, or a related field.
Ability to travel 5–10%.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with receiving and production schedules for each project, adjusting schedules as priorities change.
Monitor schedule deviations and adjust production as needed.
Communicate with production teams when orders are received and when production schedule changes could affect job sites.
Monitor raw material delivery dates to ensure scheduled production can be completed.
Provide daily and long-term production and capacity planning based on customer orders, due dates, cell and facility availability, and compatibility.
Coordinate daily with production leadership, procurement, and receiving staff to evaluate required production schedule changes.
Ensure raw materials can be procured on schedule without interrupting or causing downtime in production.
Work with operations and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement in production quality and yields.
Work with procurement, inventory management, sales, and operations teams and processes to provide optimal supply levels and support new product development processes.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
