About The Position

The Material Planner plans, schedules, and coordinates the flow of materials needed for manufacturing operations. The role balances inventory levels with production requirements while minimizing waste, delays, and costs, and serves as a link between procurement, production, and supply chain teams to support efficient material availability and use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of applicable experience.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Ability to interpret production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory data to plan material requirements accurately and efficiently.
• Skill using enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or Oracle for material planning, inventory tracking, and procurement coordination.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine material needs and ensure timely availability.
• Track material usage, identify shortages or excess inventory, and initiate replenishment orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Work with purchasing teams and vendors to support on-time material delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Enter and manage material planning data in systems such as SAP or Oracle for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse teams to align material flow with production goals and minimize downtime.
