Position will sit onsite at the Florence, SC site and will support the Drug Substance Division (DSD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Work schedule will be standard 8-5, M – F fully onsite Discover Impactful Work: Under the guidance of the Technical Manager, Production Planning, the Materials Planner I will plan inventory and coordinate the flow of materials to meet production and delivery expectations while minimizing inventory levels. The position will work directly with applicable functions (Purchasing, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and others) to ensure appropriate and reliable supply of incoming materials and on-time shipment of customer orders. A Day in the Life: The Materials and Inventory Planner will reflect demand changes in SAP to ensure high accuracy of forecast needs and ensure accuracy in inventory balances, item usage history, and forecasting. The Materials and Inventory Planner will also assist with managing documentation and ensuring compliance for the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) program, as well as preparing and maintaining the paperwork associated with Temporary Importation Under Bond (TIB).
