About The Position

The Material Management Technician performs duties across receiving, warehousing, distribution, delivery, and replenishment of supplies such as medical products and linen. The technician maintains efficient supply locations by replenishing inventory, monitoring supply levels, and organizing work areas. The role is based onsite at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. The position is classified as day shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or other supply chain discipline.
• Basic computer and PC navigation skills, and familiarity with warehousing devices and equipment handling, hardware usage, and software.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school diploma or associate’s degree.
• Familiarity with medical supplies, consumables, and equipment, with the ability to develop a basic understanding of their use.

Responsibilities

• Determine replenishment quantities for bins in clean supply rooms and use a handheld scanner to record the amount to be picked.
• Pick scanned supplies from the warehouse or storeroom, verifying product and manufacturer numbers, unit of measure, warehouse location, and quantity; de-case items as needed and prepare them for delivery.
• Deliver supplies to the correct locations, verify quantities and descriptions, check expiration dates, and stock items in the appropriate bins.
• Straighten supply rooms, rotate stock, return eligible items for credit, and note issues requiring follow-up.
• Receive FedEx and UPS packages and other shipments physically and in the enterprise resource planning system; perform outgoing shipping and investigate missing or delayed packages.
• Pack, order, deliver, monitor, collect, and return clean and soiled linen, including scrubs and slings.
• Participate in preparing for and completing physical inventory.
• Operate material-handling equipment, such as a pallet truck or jack, to stock shelves and move or deliver supplies.
