About The Position

The Material Logistics Operator supports material movement, forklift operation, inventory, production lines, and operator-assisted maintenance activities. The role helps ensure materials are available where needed, production lines operate efficiently, and materials and finished products are transported, stored, and staged safely. Employees are cross-trained and routinely rotated between material handling and forklift operation duties, and are expected to maintain qualification and proficiency in both functions. Assignments may vary based on operational needs, training requirements, and business demands. The position supports production, warehouse, logistics, and maintenance-related activities while demonstrating initiative, teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and quality. The job is located at 801 Friendship Drive, Harrisonburg, Virginia, with little to no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Read purchase orders and production schedules to select and stage the correct materials for production lines.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and store raw materials, finished products, and merchandise safely and efficiently.
• Help prevent production-line downtime caused by delayed movement of incoming materials or finished goods.
• Transport, rotate, replenish, and organize materials throughout production areas and workstations.
• Assist with setting up production lines and moving equipment during production runs.
• Locate and move stock to pallets, crates, storage locations, or shipping areas.
• Safely operate forklifts, powered lifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
