About The Position

The Logistics Operator coordinates freight and logistics activities, including ocean, air, and trucking shipments. The role supports fulfillment and distribution, maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, and helps ensure operations meet customer requirements and comply with established procedures. It also involves building relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal team members; resolving freight issues; analyzing operational data and KPIs; and improving processes to increase efficiency and support business growth. The position is listed for a one-year contract, pays approximately $30.00, and has work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pay period is not specified.

Requirements

• Strong background in import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate openly and effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• At least 1 year of work experience in freight forwarding or the logistics industry, with ocean import experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean, air, and trucking freight with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Manage and support fulfillment and distribution activities.
• Maintain SOPs and work instructions, ensure operational best practices align with customer requirements, and support SOP compliance.
• Build relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal team members, and help resolve freight problems.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous process improvements.
• Evaluate logistics processes to improve operational efficiency and support long-term business growth.
