Material Handling Specialist
About The Position
Power/mation is hiring a full-time Material Handling Specialist at its Roseville, Minnesota location. The position supports daily warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role includes processing shipments, receiving and organizing inventory, maintaining accurate system records, assisting with inventory activities, and supporting walk-in customers and internal teams. The work takes place in a warehouse setting and involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn products, systems, and warehouse operations.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs regularly.
Nice To Haves
- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience using an ERP system; Epicor Profit21 (P21) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately while following FIFO principles.
- Prepare domestic and international shipments within time standards.
- Receive and verify inbound shipments, then store inventory in appropriate locations.
- Label and organize inventory and maintain accurate system records.
- Resolve discrepancies and report damaged or nonconforming materials.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory processes.
- Support walk-in customers and internal teams with order needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
