About The Position

Responsible for timely and accurate put away, picking and issuing of material to/from stock in assigned warehouse/stockroom and packing for shipment. Transfer incoming stock from other warehouse/stock locations or receiving into warehouse bin locations. Pick, kit and issue stock to production, delivery or transfer orders as assigned. Using PC or other systems, transact material movements in EPICOR/MRP/WMS promptly and accurately. Utilize carts, bins, shadow boards or other media to kit and transport orders to production. Conduct inventory cycle counts as assigned. Ensure accuracy of stock moves, including compliance with first-in, first-out, serialized or lot/batch stock management as appropriate. Report damaged, missing or incorrect material for resolution. Count, verify, put away, pack or pick material in/out of stock, ensuring accuracy of inventory. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as appropriate. Communication with receiving shipping, quality inspectors and inventory analysts. Clean and maintain 5S in assigned areas and workstation. Ensure effective 5S program in place to maintain cleanliness, safety and efficiency of assigned stockrooms and work areas. Coach and train team to maintain safety, improve operational effectiveness and productivity. Responsible for timely and accurate receipt of material into inventory. Unload incoming freight from suppliers and Collins plants. Unpack, verify condition and count against packing lists. Sort and stage material for put away to stock. Escalate and assist in resolution of problem receipts as necessary. Report damaged, missing or incorrect freight received. Unload, count, inspect and process incoming freight, ensuring accuracy of inventory. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as appropriate. Communication with buyers, quality inspectors and material handlers. Regularly review problem receipts and follow up on resolution communications. Clean and maintain 5S in assigned areas and workstation. Validate customs documentation prior to put away.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Attention to detail for inventory accuracy, strong organizational skills, and ability to troubleshoot logistical issues.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
