12 Hour Material Handler - Day Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler pulls yarn requested by knitting personnel to help keep the production floor running efficiently with minimal downtime. The role ensures complete lots are used before new cases are opened and that the smallest and oldest cases are used first. It also involves stocking the floor with yarn, communicating yarn issues to Knitting Supervisors, and assisting with monthly inventory. The position requires regular attendance, courteous and professional communication, and compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations, and instructions. Other duties may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and disciplined work ethic.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent human relations and communication skills, and leadership ability.
- A sense of urgency toward departmental goals.
- Above-average attendance and consistent daily attendance.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move between departments to interact with others.
Responsibilities
- Pull yarn requested by knitting personnel.
